6 Problems that Strangle the Revenue Stream of Small Businesses

By Janet W. Christy

Very often the things that small business owners do not do have a greater effect on revenue than what those businesses actually do. In most cases, small businesses do not:

  1. Know who their real clients are
  2. Follow up with prospects
  3. Take advantage of subcontracting opportunities
  4. Network with their true prospects and clients
  5. Focus on the needs of their prospects and clients
  6. Get their messages to the proper people

By not doing those things, they're cheating themselves out of revenue.

The dilemma small business owners face is figuring out how to spend the small amount of time and money they have to market their services in the most effective manner. That's compounded by the fact that most small business owners don't enjoy marketing. They are uncomfortable with it and find it to be too complex. But if they want to increase their revenue stream, they have to address those things.

If your revenue stream is only a trickle, these simple steps will help you eliminate the blockade and get things flowing.
