
Bev Burgess is an accomplished marketer and businesswoman. Her specialism is the marketing and selling of business services, built through postgraduate study and 20 years of both running and marketing service companies.
Bev's background includes senior roles at British Gas, Epson, and Fujitsu. She has also built a service business. As managing director of the IT Services Marketing Association in Europe, Bev headed the company's learning and advisory activities in the region and personally supported companies such as Accenture, BT, CSC, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Microsoft, Orange, and Xerox.
Today, as managing director of BurgessB2B, Bev continues to help companies like those to focus on their best opportunities for growth and take creative, competitive value propositions to market.
Bev is passionate about the role of marketing in business and is a regular contributor through her speaking, training, and writing. She is a judge for the annual ITSMA Marketing Excellence Awards and is currently working with the Chartered Institute of Marketing and ITSMA to develop a specialized professional diploma in marketing for services and solutions marketers. Her new book Marketing Technology as a Service (Wiley 2010) explores the developing expertise of leaders in this field.
