Carey Ransom

Carey Ransom is the CEO of RealPractice, a marketing software and services company for legal and professional services firms. He is an experienced Internet and software entrepreneur and executive, having started, grown, and aided many technology companies during their startup and growth phases.

Carey's career spans executive roles in business development, strategy, marketing, sales, and corporate development. Prior to RealPractice, he was Vice President of Business Development at Brand Affinity Technologies (BAT), a startup in the Internet advertising and celebrity endorsement business. Carey was Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Development at WebVisible, forging new partnerships with companies such as AT&T and Microsoft, creating new lines of business, and helping WebVisible triple its revenue during his tenure. While at MessageRite (acquired by Frontbridge Technologies), Carey was Vice President of Sales & Marketing, leading the online communication storage and security start-up’s business, which was eventually acquired by Microsoft in 2005.

Carey is an industry innovator and has spoken at software, search, and online media conferences such as INBOX, The BIA/Kelsey Group, OMMA, and the Search Insider Summit. Carey’s expertise is identifying new partnership and revenue opportunities, product and technology initiatives, and creating and leveraging market trends.

Carey is an MBA graduate of the Anderson School of Business at UCLA. In addition, he holds a Certificate of E-Commerce from Loyola University Chicago and a B.A. in Economics from Indiana University.
