Derrick Smith is a partner with consulting firm MacKay & Sposito, Inc. (M&S), an infrastructure planning and design firm based in the Pacific Northwest. M&S services Water Resources, Energy, Community Development, and Geospatial clients and markets throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Derrick manages one of the firm's offices while also serving on the corporate Board of Directors and Executive Committee. His leadership and foresight have launched the firm's energy business line, which is now the top revenue source companywide. In this capacity, he maintains client relationships with several of the west's largest utilities.

Derrick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
