I couldn't agree more. Great article. Selling is communicating and the only way to communicate is to discuss and what better to discuss than that which is of mutual interest. I have been in the selling field for years until I gave up on it and instead learned to communicate more effectively. Sharing mutual interest with another person is becoming second nature to me.
