Creative Networking: How to Create Your Own Business Development Community

When most people network, they traditionally join industry-related associations and meet people at monthly gatherings. They also attend annual conferences, join committees, and sponsor events.

These methods work well for most sales and marketing professionals. They can market their professional services, make them more visible, and develop new business.

That said, one powerful networking method is often overlooked: personal networking groups. In these groups, sales and marketing professionals who target the same clients, but do not compete, meet to share advice and business leads.

A Limitation Of Typical Networking

Before I explain how to start a personal networking group, I'll give a brief story of what prompted me to begin mine.
