Have you ventured "outside the box" today?
Many businesses claim they're innovative when it comes to online marketing, but most follow cyber herds with the tried-and-true.
To be sure, going outside the box can be frightening. However, when you go beyond the norm, there are rewards worth reaping.
For instance, the "thinkers" at Burnkit, a Canadian "ideas studio," designed an ad campaign for a mutual funds company that had a 1,600-pound Grizzly Bear take up multiple banners on a web page. There was absolutely no text – just the big, hairy beast glaring at prospects.
Bold? The client, media companies and publishers initially resisted. Rewarding?
The client enjoyed three times the average click-through rates.
