Ken Lizotte CMC is author of The Expert's Edge: Become the Go-To Authority that People Turn to Every Time which shows professionals, business leaders, entrepreneurs, experts, professional services firms and entire companies how to position themselves as "thoughtleaders" in their fields and target markets. Ken's book details how employing thoughtleading strategies deliver superior competitive advantages, higher income levels, increased job satisfaction and lasting customer loyalty.

Chief Imaginative Officer (CIO) of Emerson Consulting Group Inc. and a long-time thoughtleader, Ken has been interviewed by Business WeekWall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily, Fortune, Newsweek, Writer's Digest, CBS News, National Public RadioBoston Globe and many more.

A former columnist for the American Management Association and a co-founder of the National Writers Union, Ken has authored four previous books and hundreds of published articles.

He regularly keynotes conferences on such topics as becoming a thoughtleader, publishing your ideas, balancing work and family, innovative thinking and career success. An expert at leading interactive seminars, he has facilitated career workshops at the Harvard University Extension School since 1995.

President of the New England chapter of IMC USA (the Institute of Management Consultants) from 2000-2005, he recently served on the national Board of Directors of IMC USA and has earned IMC's prestigious "CMC" credential (Certified Management Consultant), a mark that designates the highest standards of consulting professionalism and adherence to its ethical canons. Less than 1% of all consultants worldwide have achieved this enviable level of performance and certification.

A graduate of Stonehill College, Ken lives with his family in Concord Massachusetts. When he goes out running, he likes to pass by the historic homes of Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne and Louisa May Alcott, and Henry David Thoreau's cabin at Walden Pond.
