When Mike Jingozian founded AngelVision Technologies in 2001, he drew upon his experience in marketing, sales, and business development to create a new way of attracting and holding the attention of prospects. Jingozian recognized that salespeople and small business owners struggle to get their message in front of as many potential customers as possible in a cost-effective manner. AngelVision's experience and research showed that most companies struggle with one of two issues: getting exposed to enough of the right prospects, or clearly explaining the value they can provide.
Jingozian also knew that most people are advertising-averse and time-constrained. As a result, they generally won't take the time to read or understand something unless clear value has been established upfront. On the other hand, he understood that people are open to being educated on products and services that will help them solve a problem or achieve their objective.
This understanding—combined with the awareness that many people learn visually—inspired him to develop the concept of an Impact Movie™, a short movie that conveys a company's story and entices prospects to learn more. The difference in an AngelVision Impact Movie is the "messaging."
The real test, however, was whether AngelVision could successfully use the approach itself. It turns out that it could.
