You know blogging is a powerful way to establish yourself as a trusted expert and grow business. But it can happen only if you manage your blog properly. If you're not seeing the results you hoped for, chances are you've made one of the many errors people accidentally make.
"If people aren't seeing the success many other blogs have seen, it's probably because they haven't given it enough time. They have a rush of enthusiasm at the beginning, but they don't get the traffic and comments they'd like right away. And they give up right when they're about to hit the tipping point where people are starting to engage them," says professional blogger Chris Garrett.
"The second thing they do is they think somebody is going to try to discover the blog and the content magically," he adds. "You need to let people know about it. And that means promoting it in social media. It means networking. It means getting outside of your blog, getting outside of your own head and into where people you want to attract hang out."
